  • Five-star excellence: An idyllic seafront location, whitewashed buildings and chic decor characterise the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence-winning Mitsis Faliraki Beach Hotel & Spa. Here, you’ll enjoy sea views and delicious food, on hand to fill you up after a day of lazing on the beach or whizzing around the island, visiting historic sights.

  • Plentiful dining options: Nibble away at Greek mezze dishes at Ellinadiko Restaurant, savour Tex-Mex brunch fare by the pool, enjoy Italian treats, tuck into Pan-Asian delicacies, or stave off the hunger in the afternoons with a treat from the two-in-one gelateria and creperie. There's also a pita-burger restaurant onsite, plus three bars for all-day drinks, including one at the beautiful sandy beach.

  • Incredible activities: If you’re not the type to laze away the days on a lounger, you’ll find plenty to keep you occupied here. Greek cookery and art lessons run several times a week, and down on the beach you’ll find a wealth or water sports with water skiing, paragliding, rings and a banana boat, pedal boats and canoes. For something a bit more relaxing, head to the spa for massages, facials and more.

Faliraki, Rodos 851 05, Greece

Thanks to the hotel’s location just 20 minutes south of Rhodes, you’ll find plenty to keep you occupied if getting to know the island is on your agenda. History buffs should head to the Acropolis of Rhodes, which hails back to the Classical Greek period, and wander the castle-like Archaeological Museum, while outdoorsy types will fall in love with The Valley of the Butterflies, a 600-acre nature park with walking trails and fairy pools. If you need a change of scenery from Faliraki Beach, head up the coast to the Kallithea Springs, or south a little to Tsambika Beach.
