Given that you’ll be 150 metres from the beach in Pigianos Kampos, swimming in the glittering Mediterranean waters is very much in order. You’ll also be less than 10 kilometres from Rethymno, where must-dos include exploring the old town, marvelling at the stately 16th-century Venetian Fortezza, strolling around the picturesque Venetian Harbour, and enjoying incredible views from the terrace cafe at the Centre for Byzantine Art.
