Property details

  • Perfect location: Near the centre of Kilkenny, you’ll find the family-run Kilford Arms Hotel. Sitting in a prime location less than a ten-minute walk from Kilkenny Castle, the hotel provides the perfect base for exploring the historic city and Ireland’s Ancient East beyond (not to mention the bevy of top golf courses just a short drive away). The cosy and traditional vibe here makes this charming hideaway a real home away from home.

  • Local dining: With décor inspired by the forest, the rustic setting of the White Oak Restaurant is where you’ll head to enjoy the finest local produce, whipped up into delicious meals. For lunches, light bites and drinks, PV’s Bar is on hand with a tasty snack menu, and O’Faolain’s offers everything from quick eats to heartier fare in the unique setting of a ruined church.

  • Staying in comfort: Simple and fuss-free, guest rooms keep things classic with wooden floors and fittings, warm lighting and traditional décor. All the necessary mod cons are present and correct, so you can enjoy a perfectly-comfortable stay in the heart of Kilkenny.

How to get there

The hotel is located near the centre of Kilkenny City, just a five-minute walk from Kilkenny MacDonagh train station. Dublin is roughly an hour and a half to two hour’s drive away, or about an hour and a half on the train.
