Böttcherstraße 2 (Anfahrt über Wachtstraße), Mitte, 28195 Bremen, Germany

The historic German town of Bremen is bursting at the seams with interesting and cultural things to do. The Schnoor Viertel, for example, is a neighbourhood that has scarcely been changed since medieval times - think cobbled streets, tall timber exposed houses, and a great selection of little shops and cafes. It's understandably easy to see why it's one of the most popular places in the city to visit.

Perhaps Bremen’s biggest claim to fame is its exquisite chocolate. At Van Heyningen Praline Atelier, a master chocolatier will make you bespoke Bremen delights as you watch. In the heart of Bremen’s Schnoor district is the Schokostube, with a chocolate fountain in the window and home-made chocolate, truffles, pralines and ice-cream that will knock your socks off. Finally, Bremen’s best-known chocolate is made by Hachez; a Willy Wonker shop if there ever was one, and definitely worth a visit.
