The resort is located just a short walk inland from the sea near Marina di Bibbona on the Etruscan coast. Access the private beach by a meandering path through the pine forests, while in 15 minutes or so you can reach Cavallino Matto and some beautiful little villages, including Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri. For a spot of history visit the fascinating archaeological site of Populonia dating back to Etruscan times.

Other great trips include taking a ferry from Piombino or Livorno to the world-famous island of Elba, the largest of the Tuscan archipelago. Nature lovers will revel in Macchia della Magona, 1600 hectares of unspoilt wilderness where you can explore 50 kilometres of trails by foot, mountain bike or on horseback.
